East Passyunk Avenue is just a 6 minute taxi or subway ride or a thirty minute walk from Center City Philadelphia and offers convenient connections to regional public transportation and highway networks.

Walk / Bike

From Center City, head south on Broad Street through the Avenue of the Arts and past century-plus-old homes and churches, walk down 13th Street through more intimate traditional South Philly neighborhoods, or take 9th Street for a tour of the bustling Italian Market.

There are also Indego Bike Share stands at 11th & Reed Streets and East Passyunk and Mckean Streets plus plenty of spots to lock up your bike along the Avenue. 


From I-76, take Exit 347B (Passyunk Avenue). Travel east on Passyunk Avenue, cross Broad Street, and continue onto East Passyunk Ave. From I-95, take Exit 19 for I-76 toward Packer Ave, follow signs for Oregon Avenue, turn Left on Front Street, Left on Oregon Avenue, Right on Broad Street and bear Right on East Passyunk Avenue. Metered parking is available on the Avenue and in a municipal parking lot between Tasker and Morris for $1 per hour with a three hour maximum and free two hour parking is available on side streets.

There is also a Parkway garage on the NW corner of Broad and McKean Streets which offers secure parking just a few steps from the Avenue at affordable rates, including an evening rate of $6 (in after 5pm, out by 9am). For rates and info, click



Take the Route 4 or Route 23 from Center City (North/South) or Route 29 (East/West), which all cross East Passyunk Avenue and run every 5-15 minutes depending on the route. The Route 2, Route 37, Route 47 and Route 47m Buses also stop within a few blocks of East Passyunk Avene. Visit for schedules and maps.


East Passyunk Avenue is just 1-5 blocks from 3 subway stations on the Broad Street (Orange) Line. Use the Federal-Ellsworth stop for Pat's & Geno's and businesses located at the northern end of the district (5 block walk), the Tasker-Morris stop for the middle of the Avenue including the Singing Fountain (2-3 block walk), or the Snyder Avenue stop for businesses at the southern end of the district (1-2 block walk). The Broad Street Line conveniently connects to Regional Rail Lines, the Market-Frankford (Blue) Line, Subway-Surface (Green) Lines and PATCO. Visit for schedules.
